The hard part is finding where AI removes real friction, and putting guardrails around it that partners and regulators will accept. I work with accounting firms and finance teams on the whole picture.

1. Map the workflow

We walk through how the work is done today and find the steps where time goes: drafting, reconciling, summarizing, chasing information.

2. Redesign with GenAI

Using my eight Task Amplification Categories, we sort which tasks AI can speed up, which it can support, and which should stay fully human.

3. Put the guardrails in place

AI policy, human-in-the-loop review, client confidentiality, and tool selection with the same rigour you apply to any other technology decision.

4. Lead the change

A new process only works if people actually use it. We name champions on each team, explain what changes for staff and why, and help everyone see and feel the value of the new way of working.

This work builds on more than two decades as a CPA working in technology. I spent +10 years in audit innovation at Deloitte and in AI product work at Auvenir, and have consulted for CPA Canada and CPA Ontario on research into the CPA designation and on AI, data, and governance professional development.
