Introduction

CPA ReWired ("we", "us", "our") is an AI consulting business based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We operate through Data Sync Consulting Inc.. This policy explains what personal information we collect on cparewired.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, and the choices you have.

It applies to Site visitors, newsletter subscribers and anyone who contacts us. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Site and respond to you.

• Information you give us: your name, email address, firm name and the content of any message when you fill in a form, book a call or email us.

• Newsletter and download sign-ups: your name and email address when you subscribe or request a resource.

• Technical information: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and approximate location, collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health details, government ID numbers or payment card numbers through the Site. Please do not send them to us.

How we use your information and your consent

We use personal information to:

• reply to your questions and arrange consultations;

• send the newsletter, resources and updates you asked for;

• understand how the Site is used and improve it;

• keep the Site secure and meet our legal obligations.

We collect, use and share your information only with your consent, or as PIPEDA otherwise allows. When you submit a form or subscribe, you consent to us using your information for the purpose stated at that point. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot provide some services.

We will not sell your personal information.

Email list, analytics, cookies and third parties

Email marketing. We send emails only to people who have given consent, as CASL requires. Every email includes our identity, contact details and an unsubscribe link. We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage our subscriber list and send emails. Kit processes your name and email address on our behalf.

Analytics and cookies. The Site is built on Squarespace, which uses cookies and similar technologies to deliver the Site and report on traffic. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. Some features of the Site may not work if you do.

Third-party services. The following providers handle information for us:

• Squarespace hosts the Site and handles forms and analytics.

• Kit delivers our newsletter and emails.

• Google Workspace provides email, calendar and document storage.

• Microsoft OneDrive provides file storage and sharing.

These providers may only use your information to serve us. We may add or change providers as our services grow. The Site may also link to other sites, such as LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are their own.

Payments. If we offer paid services, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. Your card details go directly to the processor. We do not see or store your full credit card number.

Sharing, storage outside Canada, retention and safeguards

Sharing. We share personal information only with the service providers listed above, with professional advisors bound by confidentiality, or when the law requires it.

Storage outside Canada. Our providers may store and process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Your information may be subject to the laws of those places, including access by courts and authorities there.

Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. Subscriber details stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Safeguards. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including password protection, two-factor authentication where available, and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your info, children, changes and contact

Your info. You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You may also withdraw consent or unsubscribe from emails at any time.

Children. The Site is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes. We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
